conditions that a stand must meet in order to be eligible for funding
through this program.
Refer to the Category 7 section of this website for further details of the
Category 7 Program.
Please
note: Anyone accessing the
ASF
program is now required to fill out
only the Silviculture Funding Request Form for initial application. Request
forms will be accepted until August
19, 2011.
Please print the form and either fax or mail into the ASF. Funding will be
allocated based on the percentage of the total applied for, so that everyone
who applies receives some funding. Please note that there are still funding
caps of $10,000.00 per
landowner and $40,000.00 per silviculture contractor or agent.
Applicants will be contacted before August 26, 2011 with the amount of
funding granted and will have two weeks to send in Association for
Sustainable Forestry application forms, along with proof of public liability
and property insurance and Worker’s Compensation Insurance or private
insurance (please note: landowners working on their own woodland do not need
this insurance).
All silviculture treatments must be completed
within
90 days
of application
approval or funding may be cancelled.
*If you are
applying for pre-commercial thinning in natural stands please note
that there will be a limit on the amount of high density treatments that can
be approved. Please apply for both high- and low-density pre-commercial
thinning in natural stands where possible.
Please find
a link to
the ASF Procedures Manual below. Anyone accessing the program is
required
to follow the manual for field procedures.
Property ID Numbers (PIDS) are required for each application and claim.
If you
